The Mechanical and Aeronautical Engineering (MAE) Department of the Wallace H. Coulter School of Engineering at Clarkson University invites applications for a tenure track position at the Assistant or Associate Professor rank (starting date: July 2019 or earlier). Applications are sought from individuals whose research interests are in fluid mechanics, aerodynamics or thermal sciences.
Clarkson’s MAE Department supports approximately 850 undergraduate and graduate students, and offers B.S. degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Aeronautical Engineering, and M.E., M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Mechanical Engineering.
Successful candidates will be expected to teach fundamental undergraduate and graduate courses in mechanical/aeronautical engineering, and develop strong externally-funded research programs.
Clarkson University is strategically emphasizing four primary research focus areas: Data Analytics, Healthy World Solutions, Advanced Materials Development, and Emerging Interdisciplinary Research Solutions. These focus areas are supported by seven university wide research centers (CITeR, C3S2, ISE, CARES, CAMP, CfM, CREST).
