Accounting Clerk Description/Job Summary Summary of the Position’s Responsibilities:
  • Greet and welcome Faculty, Staff, Students, and individuals as they come into the Student Accounting Office. Review, post, maintain and process adjustments on Student billing records.
  • Post online payments to accounts.
  • Process non-cash adjustments as needed for accounts.
  • Update journals, check ledgers, transmittals, and expenses paid to the College. Retrieve, sort, distribute and prepare mail for the office.
  • Maintain the front desk, assist in ordering office supplies. Assist the Cashiers as needed.
  • Answer questions, address email complaints, answer incoming calls and respond to phone messages
  • Provide information to Faculty, Staff, Students, and individuals or organizations outside of the College within the policy of College and State laws.
  • Use of various software applications, such as spreadsheets, relational databases, statistical packages, and graphics packages to assemble, manipulate and/or format data.
Required Qualifications Minimum Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma
  • One Year advanced clerical/administrative experience in complex office environment
Preferred Qualifications
  • One year related work experience
  • Additional education may be substituted for experience
  • Proficient in the use of software application, databases, spreadsheets, and/or word processing
