GENERAL OFFICE DUTIES:
1. Represent the Center for Diversity & Inclusion at events and programming
2. Attend Center for Diversity & Inclusion (CDI) weekly student staff meetings, including one-on-one meetings with supervisor
3. Actively engage students within the CDI by providing a welcoming environment
4. Answer phones, make copies, disseminate posters around college, and other duties as assigned

STUDENT PROGRAMMING SPECIALIST RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Engage in dialogue with CDI staff regarding ideas, themes and innovative strategies to guide new and existing programming
2. Provide support for programming preparation
3. Support the assessment of programs and events
4. Solicit feedback from various members of the campus community regarding programs offered, topics, etc.
5. Communicate regularly with supervisors regarding program tasks
6. Maintain current knowledge about other events taking place on campus to identify opportunities for collaboration
7. Provide detailed drafts of all programs offered through the CDI by following CDI programming guidelines
8. Provide event details and participation numbers to supervisor for monthly/annual counts and reports
10. Lead and/or co-lead student programming, facilitate peer lead dialogues, and coordinate affinity groups.

Functional Attributes of Job Duty Minimum Qualifications

1. Enrollment in Aims Community College
2. Must be eligible for Federal Work Study
3. A minimum GPA of 2.5
4. Working knowledge of diverse communities and their experiences

Preferred Qualifications

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Software
2. Facilitation experience
3. Understanding of the use of an inter-sectional lens while working in cultural support services.
