Visiting Assistant Professor in Design
The Department of Theater at Colgate University invites applications for a one-year position in Design at the rank of Visiting Assistant Professor, beginning fall 2019. There is a possibility of renewal for a second year contingent on department needs and successful teaching in the first year. Completion of a terminal degree (MFA) or equivalent professional experience is expected prior to the date of hire. The field of specialization is open, and versatile candidates with expertise in one or more of the following areas are encouraged to apply: scenic, costume or lighting design. The teaching assignment of five courses per year (or the equivalent) will include at least one introductory design course in the candidate’s field(s) of specialization and the design of two departmental productions per year.
