Job Summary/Basic Function:
The Department of Finance, Insurance, Real Estate and Law, at the University of North Texas College of Business, invites applications for appointment as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Legal Studies starting in fall 2019.

The successful candidate will teach three courses each semester, including the Legal Environment of Business (taken by all business majors) and other specialized coursework as necessary to support programs in the College of Business. Examples include international business law, real estate law, corporation law, and law for accountants and managers.

Teaching assignment will include teaching on the main campus in Denton and the New College at Frisco as well as developing and teaching online courses.
The research assignment will be roughly 20% of workload and will be appropriate for the rank of clinical professor. Service will include advising students, integrating computer assisted learning into the basic business law course, and other significant service to the department, the college and the university.

Minimum Qualifications:
J.D. from an ABA accredited law school at the time of application and significant professional/technical experience related to the area of teaching responsibility. Record must be sufficient to qualify as a practiced academic according the AACSB standards.

Preferred Qualifications:
Teaching experience at the university level.
Teaching experience with online platforms (Canvas or Blackboard).
MBA or appropriate master's degree
Ability to produce basic and/or applied research as evidenced by publications in leading journals and/or law reviews.
Record sufficient to qualify as a scholarly academic according the AACSB standards.
