Buffalo State, State University of New York, seeks candidates for the position of Admissions Articulation and Transfer Advisor

The Articulation and Transfer Advisor maintains existing articulation agreements; meets with current and prospective students to field questions and resolve general education transfer credit issues; assists with transfer credit evaluations during peak periods; and participates in new student recruitment and yield programs. In addition, the advisor will also:

- Review articulation agreements for updates to program requirements and maintain the articulation database in Banner.
- Represent Buffalo State at community college visits, college fairs, AIR visits, high school visits, high school fairs, Open House and yield programs/activities.
- Evaluate applicant credentials and render admission decisions; conduct regular, on-going follow-up with pending applications.
- Serve in on-call rotation; conduct individual and group information session presentations.
- Execute credit evaluations and updates.
- Conduct written and telephone follow-up with students.
- Complete annual reports and serve as a transfer resource for Admissions Staff.

Required Qualifications:

 Bachelor’s degree
- Experience working in higher education
- Demonstrated effective written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work evenings and weekends and up to 10 weeks of recruitment related travel
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite

Preferred Qualifications:

- Master’s degree
- Experience working with transfer students
- Experience working with Student Information Systems (Banner, PeopleSoft, etc.)
- Experience working with CRM systems (Slate, Recruiter, Salesforce etc.)
