Position Title: Clerk - Center for Corporate and Community Education (Part-Time)

Salary: $11.82 per hour

Qualifications:

Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma; OR Two (2) years of clerical experience.

Preferred qualifications include familiarity with computers, Microsoft Office, College software such as Banner, and familiarity with office technology such as fax machines, copiers, and printers.

Duties:

Shift is Monday through Friday, 2:00pm - 6:30pm (Maximum 17.5 hours)

The Clerk in the Center for Corporate and Community Education reports to the Director of Community and Workforce Development and works closely with the Assistant Director, Coordinators, Program Specialists and support staff.

Typical work activities include, but are not limited to, the following:

Answers the telephone, takes messages and registrations, and places outgoing calls;

Provides instructor support by preparing classroom materials and rosters;

Posts class signs around the Utica campus.

Sorts, copies and files a variety of information;

Operates various office equipment such as computers, adding machines, copiers, and fax machines;

Sorts, distributes, opens, and prepares mailings and correspondence for interoffice distribution and mass mailings;

Prepares, processes and maintains a variety of records, inventories, reports, registers, and other office-related materials;

Provides information to assist students, College employees, and the public with inquiries;

Compiles and maintains files, statistical data, and other information for reports;

Operates a computer and enters or retrieves data using appropriate databases;

Collects fees and accounts for monies received;

Orders office supplies and materials;

Performs other duties as assigned.
