PRIMARY PURPOSE: The Director of Jenzabar ERP System supports and maintains the Jenzabar EX ERP System and related SQL databases with web components on Windows Operating server and client systems. The DBA skills must also include excellent customer support along with servant leadership, which supports the Mission, Vision, and Goals of Silver Lake College of the Holy Family.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 

 

Manage all aspects of the Jenzabar application and databases including Jenzabar Internet Campus Solution (JICS) portal, Infomaker reporting tool, PowerFAIDS, and other supporting software solutions. Review patches, features, and upgrades related to Jenzabar and apply them as needed. Manages database user accounts for setup, policy, security, and access. Recommends, implements and trains users on new modules for process improvements and efficiencies. Reviews current practices for accuracy, efficiency, and improvements. Recommends, develops and modifies standards, policies, procedures, and technical documentation. Fulfills end-user request for program changes and training. Serves as principal database expert providing advice for customer needs. Serves as the primary technical liaison to Jenzabar and other institutions using Jenzabar. Works with I.T. consulting firms for server OS, maintenance and upgrade needs of Jenzabar systems. Works collaboratively with customers to plan goals and priorities of Jenzabar ERP systems. Works collaboratively with owners of Juele and Blackboard for updates to student accounts. Maintains high-level of customer service in dealing with and responding to end-user requests. Perform other duties as assigned. RECOMMENDED SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:

Up-to-date on the trends, developments, best practices in computer technology. Ability to work independently to manage and complete projects. Ability to work effectively in a team environment using servant leadership skills. Able to use advanced logical, analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to prioritize, plan and organize multiple tasks to meet deadlines. Knowledge of industry database best practices. Exemplifies the desired values and cultural principles of the College. Collaborative attitude with the ability to effectively support and encourage colleagues. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with both internal and external constituents. Exceptional organizational, prioritization, attention to detail and follow-up skills. Proficient in word processing, database, spreadsheet, and presentation software. Ability to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information.
