The Chief Data Architect expedites and facilitates the design and development of a high-quality data resource, within a single organization-wide data architecture, to meet an organization's current and future university information demand. The Chief Data Architect should understand higher education.
The Chief Data Architect will be the facilitator for Enterprise Data Governance to drive toward a common enterprise data model and all the necessary coordination toward an enterprise data warehouse, avoiding multiple independent and competing data architectures, and preventing data disparity.
The Chief Data Architect is responsible for the detailed design and development of the data resource, maintenance of complete models of the data architecture with robust documentation. They must be skilled at portraying the university needs in a manner that is readily understandable to business professionals based on their perception of the business world.
They are a subject matter expert for data architectural frameworks, methods, design patterns and tools. The Chief Data Architect drives common approaches and exposes information assets and processes across the University.Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in scientific or analytical field
