Posting Number F0600906 Position Title Tenure-Track, Assistant/Associate Professor of Management Department Management & Marketing FLSA Exempt General Description

The University of North Alabama (AACSB accredited) invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in Management within the Department of Management and Marketing in the College of Business, for the 2019 Spring or Fall semester. Candidates must possess, or be within six months of completion (as per evidence of ABD status and dissertation defense schedule), a doctorate in Management from an accredited institution.

The review of candidates will focus on their research productivity, teaching effectiveness, involvement in university, college, and community service, and fit with the culture of our university, college, and department. Responsibilities include teaching in-class and online undergraduate and graduate management courses in Operations Management and/ or Project Management. Priority will be given to those with experience in teaching Excel-based operations and project management software in addition to having experience teaching online.

The successful candidate will have evidence of effectiveness in the classroom (e.g., recent teaching evaluations etc.), and a record of producing, or demonstrate the ability to produce, publications necessary for the college to meet current AACSB International accreditation standards. Salaries are competitive with other AACSB accredited institutions, and a review of applications will begin immediately.

Organization

Established in 1830 as LaGrange College, the University of North Alabama has a rich history including the distinction of being the first state-supported teachers college in the South. The school's 130-acre campus is located in the historic district of Florence, Alabama, on the Tennessee River. Students come from around the country and world, but UNA is largely a regional university with about 70% of students coming from Alabama. Students can choose from more than 60 majors with professional fields in business, education, and nursing being most popular.
