Information Technology Analyst - Campus Services - 502142

SUMMARY:

The Information Technology Analyst is responsible for programming, upgrading, installing, and maintaining multiple software/hardware systems and the integration necessary for the efficient operation of Campus Services and Finance and Administration departments. This individual provides on-call support for technology emergencies.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Applications Oversight & Planning

  • Under the direction of the Information Technology Manager, collaborate with Information Services to maintain a high level of security for departmental servers, databases, and applications; maintain PCI compliance.
  • Project Lead for:
    • System and software upgrades, coordinating implementation.
    • Critical and noncritical application patch releases. Coordinate with application owners to schedule installations within prescribed business cycles.
    • New IT project requests. Coordinate with directors and managers to support departmental operations and priorities.
  • Create, maintain, and update documentation as it relates to configuration and implementation of all applications maintained by Campus Services.
  • Create, maintain, and update all social media platforms for One Card and other areas, as assigned.
  • Install, upgrade, and configure database software and proprietary applications, IIS and Apache web servers, and Oracle client software.
  • Manage and maintain various access control lists through CATS group management.
  • Manage and maintain various permissions to servers for various end users and applications.
  • Monitor database and application servers to ensure that they are operating at peak efficiency, taking action to resolve performance problems.
  • Backup and restore databases, coordinating with system and database administrators to integrate database backups into data center backup and disaster recovery procedures.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and or replace hardware as needed.

Additional responsibilities

  • Provide coverage for One Card service desk, as needed.
  • Special projects as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and work independently, efficiently, and with flexibility in an organized manner.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, build rapport with people, and work well as part of a large operational team.
  • Ability to analyze, problem-solve, and debug complex multi-leveled application environments.
  • Ability to plan, implement, and manage complex technical projects employing best practices.
  • Experience with Catertrax, CS Gold, Computrition Hospitality Suite, Computrition Web Menus, EMS Campus Scheduling, Certain, ID Works, Label Logic, Meeting Matrix, Micros Simphony, Temptrak, Wasp, and WinPrism preferred.
  • Working knowledge of basic HTML coding.
  • Working knowledge of Box and data warehouse applications, CyberArk, ClearPass Policy Manager, Elucian Bannerforms and Bannerweb, Nagios XI, RevenueVision, and Roads.
  • Working knowledge and experience with basic networking, hardware, and software security, and support and maintenance applications.
  • Working knowledge of Apache, IIS, and Linux Red Hat servers.
  • Working knowledge of Mac and Windows Mobile technologies, Microsoft Office products, social media platforms, and VMware products including Player, Workstation for Windows and Fusion for Mac.
  • Thorough knowledge of remote control products including PuTTy, Windows RDP, SCCM Remote Control, SSH, VNC, WebEx, and WinSCP; relational databases (Oracle and MSSQL); Visual Basic, T-SQL, and PL/SQL coding; and current versions of Windows Desktop, and Windows Server.
  • Thorough knowledge of Powershell and Python required.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor degree in information systems technology or related field and one year of related experience in software implementation, testing, and systems management, required.
  • Three years of related experience in software implementation, testing, and systems management may be substituted for education requirement.
  • One year of application support experience preferred.

WORK HOURS:

  • Full-time, exempt position
  • Monday – Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.; 7.75 hrs./day; 38.75 hrs./week
  • Must be available to work as needed

SALARY STRUCTURE:
Pay Grade 7 (Hiring Range $52,829.00 to $69,999.00 annually)
