Position Summary

Reporting directly to the Executive Director, Employer Connections, the Employer Connections Coordinator will partner with faculty, primarily in the Ritchie School of Engineering and Computer Science, on senior design and class projects. This individual will serve as the key intake point for all college specific projects with which a corporate partnership is desired. The coordinator will summarize all known capstone and curricular projects on a weekly basis and share with the advancement team in order to garner corporate partnerships on projects. The primary point of connection to the external community will be through the Assistant Director of Employer Connections dedicated to STEM. Occasionally, ideas for projects may be originated by our external partners. In these cases, the coordinator will serve as intake for requests from corporations as well.

This is a non-benefited position not to exceed 1,000 hours in a calendar year.

  • Adept at problem-solving, critical thinking, and using sound judgment in situations that that require sensitivity and tact.
  • Sense of curiosity and intuitive drive to ask questions to learn more about projects and ideas.
  • Ability to track projects and summarize progress.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • 2 years of administrative or other office experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3 or more years administrative or other office experience.
  • Previous experience connecting diverse entities and understanding the needs of multiple constituencies.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing academic/corporate relationships.
  • Technical Recruiting or University Recruiting experience.
  • Work experience in engineering environment.

Work Schedule

  • Part-time, 20 hours per week
