Adjunct Instructor - Elementary Italian Language & Culture

Job description



The College of New Jersey seeks one part-time instructor to teach Elementary Italian Language and Culture courses in the Fall of 2018 as an adjunct faculty member. These classes have already been scheduled for Mondays and Thursdays from 8:00 am to 9:20 am and 11:00 am to 12:20 pm.

Applicants must demonstrate at least near-native fluency in Italian and English, and hold an M.A. degree, or its equivalent, in Italian or in foreign language education with an emphasis on the teaching of Italian. An understanding of modern communicative approaches to language teaching, including task-based, proficiency-oriented instruction is highly desirable.

Preferred qualifications include: prior experience teaching Italian to American learners at the college level and an understanding of multimedia applications and Web-assisted instruction.
