Assistant Teaching Professor Position in Counseling PsychologyAs part of our recently developed Strategic Plan and our commitment to high-quality graduate education, the University of Missouri (MU) College of Education is committed to strengthening its focus on Counseling Psychology. We are searching for an individual to fill a non-tenure track, 9-month, faculty position who shares the College’s commitment to excellent teaching, exceptional service to students and the profession, and to continuous quality improvement in an environment of civility and respect. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications
- Doctorate in Counseling Psychology or a related field by the time of appointment (anticipated September 1, 2019)Experience teaching graduate courses in Counseling Psychology or related fieldsLicensed or license-eligible (pending state-specific requirements) as a psychologist in the State of MissouriStrong multicultural/cross-cultural competencies
- Potential as a leader in coordinating clinical training in the program (strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills)Strong teaching ability, and ability to teach graduate courses in Counseling Psychology, consistent with program and departmental instructional needsAbility to advise and mentor masters and doctoral studentsAbility to provide clinical supervision to graduate students in the Counseling Psychology programAbility to provide service to the program, department, college, and the professionCommitment to multicultural/cross-cultural training and demonstration of multicultural/cross-cultural competencies
