This position primarily involves the evaluation and treatment of patients as a part of the outpatient faculty practice and at the various University of Miami affiliated clinics and hospitals, and supervising trainees in the provision of clinical services. The inumbent will be responsible for establishing and directing the Women's Reproductive Mental Health program and serving as director of the Health and Recovery Unit at Jackson Memorial Behavioral Health Hospital.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include the evaluation and treatment of patients who are referred to the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences and affiliated hospitals and clinics, as well as teaching and supervising residents, fellows, and medical students. As with all other faculty, this individual will be expected to rotate in the faculty call schedule. Additional clinical duties may be assigned at the University of Miami Hospital, affiliated teaching hospitals and UMMG faculty practice by the Department's Chair or Vice Chair.
The position also includes opportunities for participation in research and other academic activities.
The individual must demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills. This position requires M.D. or M.D./PhD, board eligibility in psychiatry and a Florida medical license.
