Grant Summary: Funded from the U.S. Department of Education, Office of Postsecondary Education's Student Support Services Program, this will provide students from low-income, first-generation or students with disabilities support services to increase their rates of retention, graduation and transfer to four-year colleges and universities within four years.

General Summary: Provide management and direct oversight of the project; provides reports to internal and external stakeholders and partner organizations; provide individual coaching to students.

Requirements: Master's Degree in Counseling, Education, Developmental education, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field. Minimum of three years of experience in higher education experience with low-income, first generation, non-traditional students and with students with disabilities. Three years of experience in project design and management of TRIO or other Student Support Services Program and supervisory experiences preferred.

Strong knowledge of grant development and administration. Good written and verbal communication, organizational skills; ability to work with students, faculty, staff, administration and outside agencies, good presentation skills; self-motivation; accountable, and able to provide leadership. Ability to track data and outcomes and present information in compliance with Federal requirements. 1. Oversee development and implementation of all aspects of the grant.

2. Ensure that the program operates in compliance with all terms and conditions of the grant and all federal regulations.

3. Provide coordination for all day-to-day project activities for the Student Support Services (TRIO Grant) Program.

4. Assists in recruiting, screening and recommending staff hired with grant funds; train, oversee scheduling, supervise and evaluate staff.

5. Develop monitoring and evaluation plans for project goals and objectives, ensuring continuous improvement and maintaining high accountability for project outcomes.

6. Collaborate with Institutional Research department to create data collection system for reporting and participant tracking.

7. Ensure all needed data is collected and performance reporting requirements are met.

8. Manage grant budget in accordance with federal and college policies and regulations.

9. Implement recruitment, assessment, and selection processes for program students. Provide individual and/or group coaching services to program students.

10. Participate in the development of institutional practices and procedures concerning the retention and graduation of program participants.

11. Prepare reports for the Department of Education and the college on the operation of the SSS program and the success of program participants.

12. Create and maintain operational manual and guidebook.

13. Initiate, develop and maintain partnerships with college community.

14. Attend meetings as scheduled and serve on college committees.

15. Perform other related duties as required or assigned.

Clearances: Current criminal record/child abuse clearances will be required if offered the position and in order to be employed at the College. The three clearances are Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance, Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Records Check, and Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) Criminal Background Check.
