Description:

Tulane University School of Medicine, Section of General Internal Medicine is seeking a Palliative Care BE/BC physician to join our rapidly growing academic Palliative Medicine & Supportive Care program. Rank will be commensurate with experience.

The faculty member will provide Palliative Medicine in our affiliated ambulatory clinics and hospitals.   Those with experience and interest in student, resident, and fellow education desired.

Tulane faculty offers excellent salary and benefits, including tuition waiver to full-time employees and immediate family members. Full interdisciplinary team is embedded within the program including a Palliative Psychiatrist, Social Worker, APPs, and Chaplain support as well as a 15+ member hospital Interdisciplinary Team.  The Department is heavily involved in Diversity/Equity/Inclusion Councils and Committees, Quality huddles, Cancer Center expansion, and Wellness activities including Schwartz Rounds and Death Café.

Qualifications:
  • Eligible for medical license in the state of Louisiana as well as CDS and DEA required.
  • MD/DO degree from an accredited program.
  • Board Certification/Board Eligible in Hospice and Palliative Medicine.
