Founded in 1955, the Albert Einstein College of Medicine (Einstein) is one of the nation's premier institutions for medical education, basic research and clinical investigation. A full-time faculty of some 2,000 conducts research, teaches, and delivers health care in every major biomedical specialty. The Albert Einstein College of Medicine is seeking a Director of Institutional Effectiveness, Research and Reporting. This new position will report to the Office of the Dean, and work with Associate Deans, Department Chairs, faculty, staff and other stakeholders to develop and implement assessment procedures. The Director will play a key role in facilitating decision-making by collecting and analyzing data and conducting research related to enrollment management, strategic planning, resource allocation, assessment and program review/accreditation in support of the College's mission and strategic goals; advocating for accurate, reliable and consistent data management and usage across all programs and departments; and fulfilling institutional internal and external reporting requirements. The Director will collect, analyze, interpret and disseminate a wide range of data and findings related to the College's enrollment, academic and financial divisions and coordinate with other campus offices that collect and analyze institutional data. Responsibility for all institutional reporting and survey to external entities are the responsibility of the Director and their staff.

Educational Effectiveness and Student Learning Outcomes: Assess, Analyze, Report, and Improve – The Director coordinates Einstein's quality assurance process, including strategic planning, assessment, and evaluation for continuous improvement, statistical analysis of instrumentation to establish validity and reliability, and data dissemination for both graduate and medical education. Consult with appropriate staff and faculty on the development and alignment of course, program and institutional student learning outcomes and of institutional effectiveness using a variety of direct and indirect assessment methods. Define, implement, and document best practices for assessment and evaluation that are in alignment with accreditation requirements and continuous improvement. Secure and systemize valid and reliable evidence of student learning and institutional outcomes. Provide assessment expertise to faculty, student and administrative support units in planning, measuring, and analyzing assessment results. Coordinate ongoing institutional planning and assessment. Create mechanisms and processes to ensure that all assessment and institutional information is clear, accurate and accessible, both on the website and other publications. Produce high quality annual reports on institutional performance, student performance outcomes, and learning analytics. Present critical assessment findings on a continuous basis to the senior academic leadership team and other stakeholders. In concert with dean/chairs/directors, lead academic program review efforts across the College to include planning, coordinating and collecting data and writing summary evaluation reports. Implement strategies to use assessment results to make continuous improvements.

Accreditation - In collaboration with institutional leadership, support Einstein's efforts as a Middle States Commission on Higher Education candidate institution to achieve and maintain accreditation, including: and providing data, summaries, and reports for accreditation and regulatory purposes as needed. Be current on MSCHE and LCME standards, processes and policies. Attend MSCHE, LCME and other educational programming events and meetings. Guide institution in compliance with accreditation standards for assessment.

Institutional Data Steward - The director will be responsible for managing and coordinating the institutional research functions that specially support the University's commitment to evidence-based planning, decision-making, and improvement. Serve as stewards of data and information ensuring an institution-wide data strategy. Compliance issues such as privacy and security and ethical issues such as determining what data and information should be used for various purposes, and whether interpretations are correct and appropriately used, are also critical to this area. Ensures data are appropriately accessible and usable to those who need them to make decisions and to meet institutional reporting requirements.

Educate information producers, users, and consumers - Builds effective, collaborative relationships among a diverse population of faculty, staff, and external groups that enhances institutional assessment and performance. The director educates on the stewardship of data ensuring the ability to collect, access, analyze, and interpret information independently and in collaboration with other stakeholders. Serve as a trusted advisor to the senior academic and administrative leaders on matters related to educational assessment and institutional effectiveness.

• Master's degree required (Ph.D. preferred).
• Scholarly or professional experience with data analytics, statistics, or higher education.
• Knowledge of assessment and program review practices.
• Must have at least 3 – 5 years' experience with compliance, quality assurance systems and accreditation including direct experience with the regional and LCME accreditation processes, including policy expertise, self-study and planning.
• Minimum of 5 years' progressive responsibility in analytics, qualitative and quantitative research methods, survey design, and data analysis.
• Experience at a medical school or university level.
• Knowledge and experience in coordinating institutional research functions.
• Effective leadership, management, organizational, and communication skills.
