The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina, invites applications for one part-time, Enrollment Specialist within The Citadel’s Enrollment Center. Located in historic Charleston, South Carolina, The Citadel has been ranked for the seventh consecutive year by U.S. News and World Report as the top public college in the South among master's-granting institutions.

The Enrollment Specialist position promotes awareness, recruitment, and enrollment into The Citadel's academic degree programs. This position serves as a vital part of the prospective student communication campaign by being the initial point-of-contact for prospective students. Reporting to the Director of Enrollment Management, the Enrollment Specialist will provide day and some evening call center operations for inbound and outbound phone calls.

The Enrollment Specialist's responsibilities include:

  • Place outbound phone calls to prospective students who have requested information about The Citadel's degree programs, including but not limited to graduate, graduate certificate, evening undergraduate, and online degree programs.
  • Answer inbound phone calls from prospective students and provide information about The Citadel's degree programs.
  • Outreach to prospective students by emails and texts.
  • Document all outreach follow-up information in the institution's Recruit CRM system. Update prospective student’s contact information as needed.
  • Assist prospective students needing to navigate application and enrollment processes, including applying and registering for classes.
  • Support admissions office with recruitment events, including open houses, graduate, college transfer, and career fairs.
  • Support remote recruitment efforts by providing mailings of marketing materials.
  • Assist other enrollment offices in call campaigns as needed.
  • Enrollment Specialists adhere to the highest level of ethical standards and all accreditation and college rules and regulations regarding student enrollment.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree strongly preferred. Marketing and/or higher education experience desired. Excellent communication skills, both written and oral. Comfortable cold-calling and speaking to prospective students over the phone and at recruitment events. Ability to manage large amounts of inbound and outbound calls in a timely manner. Strong computer applications and internet proficiency. Ability to work evening and/or weekend hours.

Additional Comments:
