SUMMARY:

The Multimedia Production Specialist I, under direction, plans, manages, and develops video projects, to include schedules, parameters, and milestones.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Plans and facilitates studio, field-based, and live video including camera operation, editing, set and lighting design, and audio production.  Makes technical decisions on appropriate lighting, shooting angle, placement, and type of microphone.
  • Help to oversee the security, operation, upgrade, and maintenance of equipment.
  • Balances creative requirements with schedules, budgets, and resource limitations.
  • Meets post production goals and deadlines.
  • Edits and assembles final visual/audio materials.  Ensures consistency and monitors technical quality of end products.
  • Creates videos suitable for multiple media channels, including television, print, social, web, and mobile.
  • Organizes and maintains video and photo assets.
  • Utilizes Teamwork, a cloud-based project management system, to track a project’s status and communication.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience / Knowledge / Skills: Knowledge of video production. Proficiency in specialized editing software applications. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong analytical and organizational skills. Five years of experience in studio and/or live video production.
  • Ability to: Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others. Work beyond normal office hours and/or work on weekends and/or holidays. Ability to travel.
  • Licensing / Professional Certifications: None
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift moderately heavy objects and exert moderate force.
  • Other Requirements: None

PREFERRED EDUCATION / SKILLS/ EXPERIENCE:

Adobe Lightroom, Adobe Photoshop, Smugmug, Flickr, Adobe Premiere, Adobe Audition, Adobe After Effects, Audacity, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Media Encoder, Google Calendar, Teamwork, Microsoft Outlook. Experience with studio and location photography including non-continuous lighting systems, camera operation, and post production. Experience working in an advertising/creative agency environment.
