General Summary

The Simulation, Animation, and Gaming program is looking for a Part-Time Lecturer to teach SAG Movement Course. The class is a combination of projected-based applications founded on life science principles. The required movement of characters is for us in the following areas; simulation, animation, and gaming.

The course is a precursor to rigging, a process of creating a skeleton for 3D model. The skeleton must be able to be deformed and animated, so specific parts of a character (human, animal, insect or microbes) moves realistically and correctly.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Teaching may include a number of particular obligations which employees are expected to fulfill, including but not limited to: meeting with students during and outside of assigned classes, assessing student work and performance, preparing syllabi and course materials, providing copies of syllabi and course materials to their supervisor on request, and assigning and submitting grades in accordance with established Eastern Michigan University schedules.

Perform related departmental duties as required.

Qualifications

Minimum: An undergraduate or master's degree in related field. The applicant for this position needs a strong background in the anatomy and movement of humans, animals, insects and microbes from both a realistic and simulated state.
