General Summary

The Department of Accounting and Finance at the College of Business School, invites applications for Part-Time Lecturer positions in the Accounting, Finance, and DS area.

ACC 540
An examination of the generally accepted accounting principles used in corporate financial reporting with particular emphasis on advanced topics such as equity, long-term assets and liabilities, revenue recognition, prior period adjustments and cash flows. Also included is the role of the SEC in financial reporting of publicly traded companies.

ACC 541
Specialized topics in accounting with major emphasis on conceptual aspects and reporting of consolidated financial statements, international accounting challenges and foreign currency reporting issues.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Teaching may include a number of particular obligations which employees are expected to fulfill, including but not limited to: meeting with students during and outside of assigned classes, assessing student work and performance, preparing syllabi and course materials, providing copies of syllabi and course materials to their supervisor on request, and assigning and submitting grades in accordance with established Eastern Michigan University schedules.

Perform related duties as required by the Department.

Qualifications
