Multiple Instructor Positions in Online Web/Cloud/Mobile

The School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS), within the College of Engineering at Oregon State University, invites applications for online Instructors with a specialization in web development, mobile and/or cloud computing in the Computer Science (CS) Post Baccalaureate (Post Bacc) program. This program is fully online and does not require Instructors to live within the vicinity of the Corvallis campus. The hired candidates are expected to attend an initial in-person training of up to 2 weeks in duration and then come to the Corvallis campus for up to 1 week every 6 months for training, etc. Travel to be reimbursed based on university guidelines. Available Instructor positions are fixed-term, non-tenure track, 9 month and 12 month part- and full-time (.30 to 1.0 FTE), with the possibility of renewal at the discretion of the School Head. The closing date for this posting may be adjusted without prior notification to applicants.

The Post Bacc program enables students with a Bachelor’s degree outside CS to earn a CS degree in an accelerated fashion, expanding their skills and job opportunities. EECS currently serves over 3,500 students and, nationally, ranks #2 in the number of CS degrees conferred per year. Through this program and others, the College of Engineering delivers a transformational education that graduates leaders who drive change throughout their lives. The university’s Ecampus partners with more than 700 faculty members and has earned national acclaim for the quality of its faculty-development program. As a result, Ecampus is a widely-respected leader in online education, having been ranked in the top 10 nationally 5 years in a row by U.S. News & World Report.
