Physics Faculty Position
Trinity Christian College invites applications for a full-time tenure-track position in Physics beginning in August 2019.
Ph.D. in Physics or related field is desired, as is extensive coursework in related fields. ABD candidates will be considered. Previous college-level teaching experience is desired.
Trinity seeks candidates for faculty positions who are professing Christians and are committed to excellence in teaching, scholarship, and service. Successful candidates will possess the ability to articulate the relationship between their academic discipline and the Christian faith. Successful candidates are also dedicated to personal involvement with students outside of the classroom through advising and other informal academic and cultural settings.
This is a tenure-track faculty role. The major responsibilities include teaching the following courses and related labs: Physical Science, Calculus-based General Physics I and II, and other courses in the department as appropriate given the experience and educational background of the candidate. Priorities will be given to candidates with additional expertise in teaching chemistry. Additional responsibilities include academic advising, meeting with prospective students, and participation in the life of the department, college service, and scholarly and professional achievement. Some teaching may require evening hours.
