Assistant Professor at Sbarro Health Research Organization
The Sbarro Health Research organization, located at Temple University, seeks qualified applicants for a full-time, non-tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level, commencing March 1, 2018.
As a research assistant professor your principal responsibility will be to work on the research project focused on the study of the cell cycle regulation of cancer cells, in particular medulloblastoma and glioblastoma, with a specific focus on the role of pRb2/p130 and its cellular targets. You will also be expected to come up with your own ideas and contribute to funding proposals.
Qualifications of competitive candidates would include a doctoral degree in the Biological Sciences or Biochemical Sciences, recent research experience with a track record of impactful publications. Tutoring and training experience of students of different academic levels and background for laboratory standards and techniques are also required. The knowledge of the Italian language will be considered as a must, in order to organize and manage international scientific collaborations with Italian Institutions and Universities.
