Minimum Education/Experience: Master's Degree in education or a related field - - OR - - a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 3 years related experience. Candidates should have experience in teaching primary adult learners and course development at or above the community college level. Knowledge of on-line and face-to-face curriculum design development, and training.

Job Duties: The primary function of this position is to foster the evaluation, faculty assessment and medical research education activities for the Office of Faculty Development. The Faculty Support Manager will oversee and supervise on-line and traditional instructional and document support services related to Faculty Development in the Brody School of Medicine. This position is responsible for developing and coordinating programming to improve resilience of faculty, to help faculty and future faculty develop as educators, and to help faculty acclimate to BSOM. This includes the creation of on-line, face-to-face, or blended customized training courses and products specifically for faculty in a healthcare delivery and healthcare education setting. The Faculty Support Manager conducts training needs assessments and evaluates training effectiveness. The Faculty Support Manager will develop and teach on-line and face-to-face instructional sessions related to faculty development including adult education theory, curriculum design and teaching methods. This position will also provide evaluation of learners and courses, giving and will deliver effective feedback, educational research, and remediation. The Faculty Support Manager will gather, analyze, and report qualitative and quantitative educational data. In addition, the position will make recommendations on new technical services to enhance the delivery of Faculty Development Resources to the Brody School of Medicine Faculty. This position will work collaboratively with faculty/administration to develop strategies to enhance all faculty learning. This individual will engage in sensitive and complex problem solving including flexibility to meet various needs of faculty. Developing relationships with other resources within ECU, planning and directing programming, evaluating and reporting program outcomes, and participating in accreditation efforts that affect faculty is also a required duty and expectation of the Faculty Support Manager. This person will develop trusting relationships with the faculty and staff that will facilitate quality improvement training of learners. Accomplishment of this work requires the creation and maintenance of collaborative relationships with a variety of health care professionals, utilization of resources within and outside of the university as well as utilization of resources with project partners. Additional duties may be assigned as needed to accomplish the objectives of the Office of Faculty Development.
