The College of St. Scholastica invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in Psychology beginning August, 2019. The successful applicant will teach Personality, General Psychology, and other courses as appropriate. Tenure-track faculty are expected to develop an undergraduate research program, participate in faculty committee work, and demonstrate teaching excellence in the classroom and laboratory. This is a full-time, 9-month position. The Assistant Professor will teach Personality, General Psychology and other courses based on expertise and department need, develop a research program suitable for undergraduates and contribute to and participate in fostering a culture of inclusion in support of college diversity goals.


A Ph.D. in psychology (or closely related field) or Psy.D; expertise in and ability to teach Personality and General Psychology; evidence of cultural competence and demonstrated success working with diverse populations; and demonstrated cross-cultural communication skills and multicultural competency is required.  College teaching experience is preferred.
