Job Description Summary:
Southwestern Michigan College is seeking Foundations/Geriatrics Clinical Adjunct Instructors to join the School of Nursing and Health Services.

Clinical Instructors work in conjunction with lead instructors to help students develop clinical skills in the areas of Foundations and Geriatrics.

All applicants must evidence a working knowledge of computer and technological skills commensurate with subject area.

Required Qualifications:
-Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
-At the minimum two years of experience in an acute care center.
-Unencumbered RN Licensure in MI.
-BLS Certification

Preferred Qualifications:
-Master’s Degree in Nursing Education
-Experience in nursing simulation
-Clinical Teaching Experience
-Licensure in IN and MI

Other Information:
All applicants must demonstrate the ability to teach effectively using a variety of methods, relate to students and facilitate student learning. Excellent organization and communication skills as well as the demonstrated use of instructional technology are required.

Southwestern Michigan College is a two-year college located approximately 45 minutes north of South Bend, Indiana and approximately 45 minutes from Lake Michigan’s eastern shore.

Special Instructions to Applicants:
Clinical times are scheduled two days a week, with occasional additional days, throughout the semester.
