General Summary of Responsibilities: The Department of Middle Grades, Secondary, Reading and Deaf Education seeks part time faculty to teach online specialist level courses in teacher leadership; masters level courses in curriculum and instruction, middle grades math and science, or reading; and supervision of field-based residencies. Required Qualifications: A doctorate in Middle Grades Education, Secondary Education, Curriculum and Instruction or Educational Leadership to teach in the Ed. S. in Teacher Leadership program. To teach in the M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction or the M.Ed. in Middle Grades Math and Science programs, candidates must have a specialist degree in Middle Grades Education, Secondary Education, Curriculum and Instruction, or Educational Leadership. Supervision requires a master's degree in one of the above disciplines. Additional requirements include a minimum of three years recent teaching in public schools grades pk-12 and demonstrated expertise in technology use and integration for teaching.
