Job Details
Duties: Collaborate with research faculty within the SAIF and MRI Service Center to identify research problems, assist in the design of hypotheses to be tested and assist in development of new grant proposals to facilitate research studies, including National Cancer Institute grants, national cooperative group clinical trials, pilot funding opportunities and industry sponsored clinical trials. This position is responsible for assisting in designing and independently implementing a multiple research business model, plan for providing details, tracking invoicing costs related to research projects carried out in the SAIF and MRI center, including human and non-human projects using service center resources. The position will provide support for the SAIF animal facility, working with the SAIF and MRI Administrative Director and Faculty Director. The position must be able to function independently and in a resourceful manner to carry out the group's objectives for managing the SAIF and MRI center research resources. The Research Project Manager B will be responsible for overseeing research staff and assisting in new educational training.
Qualifications: A Bachelor's degree and 5 to 7 years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience required. Highly organized and detail-oriented.
Knowledge of MS Office required,
Knowledge of PENN ERA, ERA commons or other grant submission systems recommended.
Must be flexible and have the ability to multi-task.
Must be able to problem solve and use sound judgment
Must have interpersonal skills (verbal and written)
Must be highly motivated and able to work well within a team environment.
