Assistant Director Learning Commons, Disability Services
Job Summary: The Assistant Director is primarily responsible for supporting the programs and services of the Learning Commons including tutoring, peer mentoring, disability services and learning support services all of which will require extensive one-on-one interactions with students with learning disabilities. This position reports to the Director of Learning Commons. This is a full-time exempt, administrative position with occasional evening and weekend work required.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: Bachelor's degree in special education, psychology or related field. Minimum of one year experience of case management, preferably in education. Professional experience working with individuals with disabilities. Demonstrated knowledge of the American with Disabilities Act (ADA) provisions. Excellent organizational, communication (written and verbal), interpersonal and time management skills. Ability to exercise considerable judgment and discretion in establishing and maintaining good relationships with students, parents, faculty and staff. A positive and professional demeanor is a must. Proficiency using Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word required.
Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree in special education, psychology, or related field. Experience supervising student staff members. Experience with tutoring department policies and practices.
