The Office of University Development provides fundraising and operational services to all schools and units across campus. This position supports all the schools and units across campus in the review and management of matching gifts claims and payments to the University, regardless of designation of the gift/payment. This position is unique to the University itself as all matching gift efforts are coordinated across campus through this position. This position works with donors, matching gift company representatives, development officers and all unit contacts in carrying out these duties. Reporting to the Assistant Director of Revenue & Data Management, this position will be responsible for several key functions.Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related discipline; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.Essential Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
This individual must be well organized, highly flexible, possess a keen awareness of customer service, and have the ability to multi-task and prioritize under pressure. Strong communication skills (verbal and written) are a must, including an excellent command of the English language. The individual must have good listening and interpretive skills. This individual must possess good project management skills, must be a self-starter and must be able to work independently in order to complete all tasks and duties within prescribed deadlines. This individual must be a detail-oriented, conscientious and self-motivated person with the ability to respond to reporting needs with little to no notification.
Demonstrated office technology competencies that include the ability to determine and ensure compliance with office guidelines, data management, report and document preparation, correspondence, and scheduling. Strong computer skills with experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Access) are strongly preferred. Good judgment and demonstrated tact and diplomacy are very important.
This individual must have knowledge and understanding of CASE Reporting Standards and Management Guidelines as well as Internal Revenue Service rules and regulations on charitable contributions.
Previous experience working in a donor/alumni database system within a fundraising organization preferred.
