We are recruiting a highly motivated postdoc to investigate pathogenesis of Alzheimer’s disease using mouse models. In vivo techniques including sectioning, immunohistochemistry, tissue extraction, brain biochemistry, stereotactic mouse injections, and will be performed on various transgenic and knockout mice. The candidate is expected to lead this project independently and manage mouse colonies to address major questions regarding the tau protein in Alzheimer’s disease. Proficient record-keeping skills, presentation skills, and ability to collaborate with others in the lab is required.Educational Requirements
B.A or B.S college degree and advanced Ph.D in life sciences requiredQualifications and Experience
Must have experience handling mice, performing experiments that utilize mouse tissue, and extracting mouse tissues for subsequent biochemical or immunohistological analysis. Also required is a biochemical/molecular background in cell culture or other in vitro systems sufficient to lead this project. The applicant must have a demonstrated track record including published first-author papers in a related field of study.Equal Opportunity Employer
