Assistant/Associate Professor -Human Services Counseling program (Pos #004759)
Posting Information: Western Carolina University's Department of Human Services invites applications for a 9-month tenure-track Assistant/Associate faculty position in the counseling program beginning January 1 or August 1, 2019. Faculty teach, supervise, and advise students in a CACREP-accredited Master's degree programs in school counseling and clinical mental health counseling at the WCU instructional site at Biltmore Park in Asheville. Faculty teach undergraduate counseling courses at WCU's main campus in Cullowhee. Faculty conduct scholarship activities and provide university, college, community, and program service.
Minimum Training & Experience Requirements: Earned doctorate in counselor education from an accredited institution, or ABD with expected completion of doctorate by May 31 for a January 2019 start and August 1 for an August 2019 start; evidence of, or potential for, expertise in master's-level teaching in CACREP core curriculum and school counseling specialty area; experience in school counseling; licensure in school counseling; leadership and team skills; evidence of, or potential for, scholarship and service.
Preferred Qualifications: Graduate of, or experience in, CACREP-accredited programs; North Carolina K-12 school counseling licensure or eligibility for licensure in North Carolina.
