Production Control Analyst II

Under the supervision of the Production and Release Supervisor, the Production Control Analyst II position will be focused on Ops Technical support, Production Control Support, and Server Software ownership and support. Daily tasks will include installing application programs in the production environment, scheduling programs following established job priorities, and performing analysis on the production environment in order to make recommendations to improve efficiency. Scripts and Programs will be written and/or modified to support team automation efforts. The Ops Support element will include responding to problems with batch processing jobs, taking corrective action, and ensuring that programs are restarted in a timely manner. The employee will work with customers, vendors, and developers to fulfill requests, resolve problems, and recommend changes. Disaster Recovery procedures will be documented and practiced in preparation for disasters or unplanned events. Support and assistance will be provided for Change Management duties, including coordination of Review Meetings, assisting with Change Requests, and training/outreach of the Change Management Protocols.

Salary: Commensurate with experience
Total Hours: 8-5, M-F
Must possess a valid California Driver's License and participate in the DMV Pull Notice Program.
May also require after-hours on call support, and coverage of evening and night shifts as needed

Contract Position. This is a one year contract appointment position with the possibility of additional year contract appointment extensions. Per the University of California (UC) recruitment policy, because this position has undergone competitive recruitment, this position can be converted to career status any time after hire, as conversion meets criteria set by UC recruitment policy and the needs of the Office of Information Technology department.
