Job Details
Maryville University is seeking a highly motivated, results-oriented individual to manage the comprehensive annual giving program for the University as part of the Office of Development and Alumni Relations. The successful candidate must be committed to fostering a welcoming environment for a diverse population of students, faculty, and staff.
The Annual Fund Manager is responsible for:
•Implementing and evaluating broad-based solicitation methods to increase total participation and annual gift revenue for the University. These methods should be data-driven and include: Direct mail, e-communications, personal solicitation, phonathon and other creative uses of technology to increase total annual gift revenue. This should be in collaboration with the digital engagement strategy for Development and Alumni Relations.
•Working with individual schools to coordinate strategy and schedule for solicitations to their alumni.
•Tracking alumni solicitation and response rates.
•Assessing returns and progress quarterly to ensure that targets are hit. Addressing under-performing segments and solicitations in a timely manner.
•Overseeing and growing the Duchesne Society, Maryville University’s Leadership Annual Giving society, working with Major Gift Officers to secure Duchesne level gifts, soliciting Duchesne level gifts through personal meetings, phone calls and events.
•Supporting the Development office’s database software, Salesforce; Updating donor records, assessing information needs, providing reports.
•Assisting with Alumni events, including Homecoming and individual club meetings.
•Minimal travel may be required (5% or less).
Minimum Qualifications•3 years’ professional experience with direct-mail campaigns, database management and CRM software
•Strong experience in persuasive writing
•Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite with advanced experience using Excel
•Ability to work within a team, prioritize tasks and manage workload independently
•Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
•Self-starter
Preferred Qualifications•Bachelor’s degree
•Experience using Salesforce and/or Pardot
•Experience creating digital marketing campaigns
•Ability to motivate and train student phonathon employees and student volunteers
