The PQCNC Patient, Family, and Provider Partnership Manager (PFPPM) is a 0.5 FTE position to be filled to enhance the Perinatal Quality Collaborative of North Carolina (PQCNC). PQCNC is a statewide organization currently working in 65 North Carolina hospitals and birthing centers with delivery services and is administratively based at the UNC Chapel Hill School of Medicine. Teams in these facilities include family representatives, perinatal medical and nursing providers, payer groups and state leaders united in their determination to make North Carolina the best place to be born. PQCNC conducts statewide quality improvement initiatives that focus on spreading best practice, partnerships with families and patients, and resource optimization. PQCNC is seeking an enthusiastic and determined individual to lead PQCNC in identifying opportunities to enhance quality improvement using the patient-physician relationship, analyzing interactions between health care providers, and the advancement of quality improvement in diverse medical environments.

Educational Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or above in anthropology, medical anthropology, social medicine, or community health. Knowledge in healthcare systems and the relationships between patients, families, and health care providers is preferred. Relevant post-Baccalaureate degree required; for candidates demonstrating comparable independent research productivity or professional-level background in sponsored research administration, will accept a relevant undergraduate degree and 3 or more years of relevant experience in substitution. You can feel free to add any applicable academic disciplines.

Qualifications and Experience

The position requires experience in the study, creation, and/or analysis of the relationships between healthcare providers, patients and families in the delivery of optimal healthcare.
