The Department of Orthopaedics at the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill is seeking an innovative senior researcher with a proven track record to lead its research efforts. This is a tenure track position for an Associate or Full Professor, which includes a competitive salary, institution funding support and an endowed professorship.
This is an opportunity for the right candidate to build a program at an established institution with a strong community of musculoskeletal and engineering researchers.Educational Requirements
Must have an MD or PhD.Qualifications and Experience
The Vice Chair of Research will be a MD, PhD or MD – PhD with a track record of extramural funding. The candidate will have research interests in areas relevant to musculoskeletal medicine or biomedical engineering, and will have demonstrated leadership skills. Experience in teaching and mentor-ship for medical students, resident, post docs and junior faculty with the ability to lead others, preferred.Equal Opportunity Employer
