Postdoctoral research associate opportunity at the UNC School of Dentistry in the Center for Oral and Systemic Diseases. The research focus for this position will be studies involving the laboratory-based investigation into the pathogenesis of periodontitis. On-going projects include mouse models on infection, functional genomics, microbial analyses and culturing of novel species. Post-doc position will be a member of team-based research effort with opportunity for independence. Priorities will focus on quality research leading to publications and grants.

Educational Requirements

DDS or MD degree with a PhD in Molecular Biology or related science field is required.

Qualifications and Experience

Prefer experience with DNA extraction and sequencing, siRNA, bacterial culturing, transfection, PCR and mouse models including transgenic mice.
