This position will focus on human skin autoimmunity and inflammation using molecular, genetic, immunological approaches. This research laboratory will be focusing on the immunopathogenesis of pemphigus and pemphigoidadhesion molecules in skin inflammation, skin cancer and/or behavior. This position will Support research projects. This position is essential for daily operation of the lab and all on-going research projects. This position is needed due to the pace of research growing at a rapid rate. The Department of Dermatology at The University provides high quality patient care, to educate future generations of clinical dermatologists and dermatologist-academicians, to pursue excellence in biomedical research, to serve the citizens of North Carolina, the USA and the world through our advances in patient care and research.Educational Requirements
PhD or MD/PhD degree in life sciences or related sciences is required.Qualifications and Experience
Candidate must have strong knowledge of immunology experience with molecular and/or cellular biology techniques. Candidate should have knowledge of cell adhesion molecules in skin inflammation, skin cancer and/or behavior. Candidate must have strong knowledge of neurobiology or cancer and experience with cell culture techniques, microscopy and mouse models.
