Seeking a post-doctoral researcher in experimental nuclear and particle astrophysics to start immediately. The primary research focus is the MAJORANA collaboration’s efforts to search for the neutrinoless double-beta decay of 76Ge using an array of HPGe detectors where the UNC group is playing a major role. The group is also actively involved in the KATRIN tritium beta-decay neutrino mass experiment currently being constructed in Karlsruhe, Germany.

Educational Requirements

PhD in physics

Qualifications and Experience

Experience in experimental nuclear, particle or astrophysics, and an established record of research excellence.
