Postdoctoral Research Associate needed for an NIH funded research project led by a senior investigator examining basic mechanisms of redox signaling focused on cysteine oxidation. The project examines how the generation of reactive oxygen species regulates cell signaling pathways controlling cartilage tissue homeostasis. The research involves basic cell culture studies for direct analysis of signaling proteins and their oxidative modifications and mouse model studies using transgenic animals to manipulate cell signaling and ROS levels in vivo. The research will be conducted in a vibrant lab that takes a team approach which promotes interaction with other postdoctoral research associates, students, and technicians as well as collaborating investigators. The initial appointment will be for one year, with the potential for renewal.Educational Requirements
