REPORTS TO:Manager of Construction and Facility Planning Operations
PLACEMENT: Support staff, grade 6
MINIMUM PAY RATE:$18.22 per hour

POSITION SUMMARY
Performs variety of construction administration project-related duties including but not limited to processing payments, composing correspondence, developing file systems, preparing purchase requisitions, maintaining projects logs, creating reports and attending meetings.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1.Continually provide positive friendly customer service in all general office duties including answering phones, greeting customers, two way radio use and daily interactions.
2.Assist the Manager of Construction and Facility Operations and the Project Coordinator with a wide variety of support functions related to construction administration.
3.Compose correspondence, type reports, forms, applications, submittals and other construction documents.
4.Process payment applications. Ensure certified payroll and lien waivers are received.
5.Develop and maintain a construction project file system for Capital Improvement Projects and Annual Improvement Projects.
6.Work with the purchasing office in scheduling prebid meetings and bid openings.
7.Compose agendas, schedule and attend meetings with staff for Post Bid Reviews and Preconstruction meetings.
8.Prepare purchase requisitions for contractor, vendor and supplier purchase orders.
9.Prepare construction project close out documents and contractor evaluation forms.
10.Communicate effectively with contractors and A/E firms.
11.Participate in achieving departmental and college goals and objectives.
12.Perform related duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
1.High school or equivalent.
2.Three (3) years of construction administration related experience.
3.Current knowledge of Microsoft Office.
4.Attention to detail, multitasking, initiative, and excellent organizational skills
5.Ability to work effectively with people, courteous, dependable, and personable with good oral and written communication skills.

1.Associates Degree

WORKING CONDITIONS
Duties are performed indoors in the usual office environment.
