Johnson County Community College is seeking Instructors for Professionalism for the Trades. This part-time position will teach non-credit students with various levels of skills related to this subject. The focus will be on communication in relation to a trade related position/field environment. Instruction to include nuances found within the trades, i.e. Mentoring, Teamwork, Problem Solving, Conflict Resolution, Providing Written/Verbal Feedback, Communicating with the public, etc. in field operations. Instruction is both lecture and hands-on.Required Skills
- Ability to efficiently use Microsoft office products, especially PowerPoint
- Ability to work day, evenings, and/or weekend hours
- High School graduate or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years of field experience in manufacturing, public works or service related industry
- AAS or bachelor’s degree
- Experience working in a continuing education training environment
