General Summary The Lab School Coach is responsible for all aspects of the daily operation of the program in accordance with Laboratory Schools and IHSA/IESA policies.

The coach is expected to carry out the School's responsibility in contributing to the educational development of the student through their work with the activity. The coach teaches important skills relevant to the activity, promotes teamwork, self-discipline, sportsmanship and leadership in a supportive environment that fosters personal growth.
Additional Information:
Required Qualifications 1.Must either hold a valid teaching/substitute certificate or pass the Coaching Essentials Course offered by the IESA/IHSA.
2.Must be CPR/AED Certified.
3.If this position is Security Sensitive or if you are subject to a criminal background investigation based on University policy, employment is contingent upon you passing a satisfactory criminal background investigation. You may not begin work until the criminal background investigation results have been received and cleared by Human Resources.
Desired Qualifications:
Necessary Licenses/Certifications/Degrees 1. Must either hold a valid teaching/substitute certificate or pass the Coaching Essentials Course offered by the IESA/IHSA.

Hiring Rate/Range
Work Hours Much of the work occurs after 3:00 p.m. and on weekends in and around schools.
