Communications Coordinator

Hofstra University’s Office of Undergraduate Admission seeks a communications coordinator. This position reports to the Executive Director of Marketing and Communications for Enrollment Management. The primary responsibilities of the Communications Coordinator will be to develop, track and manage content and outcomes for electronic marketing campaigns including, but not limited to: emails, guidebooks, articles, web and other related print marketing and promotional material. Candidate should possess the ability to vary tone and language based on medium and target audience. Applicant should have a strong grasp of the English language including spelling, meaning, rules of grammar and composition. This role will be responsible for ensuring that content projects of all kinds are completed on schedule, at or under budget and meeting their stated goals. Additionally, the candidate should be knowledgeable of methods and principals for promoting and selling services. Evening and weekend hours will be required in support of special projects and events. Other duties as assigned. Candidates must be able to organize and handle all aspects of administration and adhere to the rules and regulations of Hofstra University, the Colonial Athletic Conference, and the NCAA.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree is required. The ideal candidate will be an outstanding project manager with excellent organizational skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to multi-task. A working knowledge of Slate is helpful. Must possess a working knowledge Microsoft Suite. This individual will deal with a wide variety of constituents, including faculty, administrators, alumni, vendors, and current students. The candidate must have a professional demeanor and excellent relational skills.
