    Attention all computer whizzes: are you looking for a part- time job where you can put your computer experience to good use? Do you enjoy being around people and helping them solve problems? If so, working as a Customer Care Technician at Concordia may be right for you.

    In this role, you will interact directly with IT Services customers via phone, e-mail, electronic chat, remote desktop, in-person visits, and other means, to ensure the satisfactory resolution of problems and issues reported. You will be working with a variety of software applications and computer hardware. When you aren't busy helping customers, you will be assigned to various projects and tasks.

    Position Details:

    This position is part-time and works an average of 20 hours per week. The work schedule offers a certain degree of flexibility, and can be determined based on the needs of the ITS department and your availability.

    A day in the life of a Customer Care Technician:

    Your day as a Customer Care Technician will consist of receiving service tickets from staff, faculty, and students, and then following the tickets through to completion to help the customers with their needs. This may consist of software assistance such as installing and updating software, creating user accounts, and various maintenance and/or trouble shooting tasks. Your day might also consist of helping with hardware needs such as deploying computers, phones and printers to various locations on campus, setting up audio/visual equipment, changing projector bulbs, and similar tasks.

    What you need to be qualified for this job:

    To be qualified for this job, you need to have a high school diploma and a year of experience in client workstation support. If your experience is in higher education that is a plus. Additional education may be considered in lieu of experience. You will need to have a year of customer service experience, a great attitude, and exemplify the Christian philosophy of Concordia.
