The School of Computing (SoC) at Clemson University invites applications for a tenure-track or tenured faculty position in its Computer Science (CS) Division. Candidates from all areas of computer science will be considered. The current areas of research strength include algorithms, artificial intelligence, cloud computing, computer systems, cybersecurity, data science, machine learning, networking, and software engineering. Candidates in both complementary and existing research areas are welcome to apply.

The school includes 44 faculty, of which 36 are tenured or tenure-track. Faculty resides in one of four divisions: Computer Science, Visual Computing, Human-Centered Computing, and Faculty of Instruction.

The school enrolls 800+ undergraduate and 250+ graduate students. The School offers BA and BS degrees in Computer Science, BS in Computer Information Systems, PhD and MS in Computer Science, MFA and MS in Digital Production Arts, PhD in Human-Centered Computing, and PhD and MS in Biomedical Data Science & Informatics.

Clemson is the public land grant institution of South Carolina and is classified in the highest research category by the Carnegie Foundation. Clemson enrolls nearly 24,000 students, including over 5,000 ethnic minorities and 1,500 international students.

Successful candidates should have an earned doctorate by the start date of August 15th, 2019 in computer science or a related area. Rank will be commensurate with qualifications.
