Position Summary:Applicant will perform bone marrow transplants on mice and evaluate the role of specific groups of B cells in the occurrence of chronic GVHD. Candidates will be expected to be able to perform 5-8 color flow cytometry, to characterize immune cells after transplantation by ELISA, IC cytokine staining, QPCR, and to use massive parallel sequencing to characterize adaptive immune receptors. Applicants should have a significant understanding of B cell development and be able to use animal models to generate chronic GVHD.
Educational Requirements:All applicants must have completed a MD, MD/PHD or PHD degree or have a degree equivalent.
Qualifications and Experience:Applicants must be well versed in cellular and molecular immunology. This includes significant experience performing flow cytometry, QPCR, Assays to measure cytokines and chemokines in various tissues and the ability to isolate and characterize specific immune populations in tissues after transplant. Additionally applicants should have an in depth knowledge of B cell development and function.
