A postdoctoral position is immediately available within a Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center lab at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. We are looking for an enthusiastic and eager, self-motivated postdoctoral researcher able to carry out independent, mentored research projects in cell signaling and cancer biology. Our overall goal is to understand the mechanisms underlying crosstalk between signaling pathways in oral, head, and neck cancers and develop novel therapeutic interventions. To accomplish this goal, we recently developed novel LumiFluor optical reporters suitable for the non-invasive, high resolution in vivo imaging of tumor development, progression, and response to therapeutic intervention.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and eager, self-motivated postdoctoral researcher with good writing skills to carry out independent, mentored research projects in cell signaling and cancer biology. Candidates with a cancer biology background, organoid culture, tissue culture, standard molecular biology techniques, IVIS imaging, and mouse models of disease are encouraged to apply. The Lineberger Cancer Center is an NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center and the Biomedical Research Imaging Center (BRIC) has state-of-the-art imaging technologies, thus providing a strong interdisciplinary post-doctoral training opportunity.
